Michael is an Associate Partner at This Partners. Michael brings deep experience across numerous aspects of major transformational IT programmes, including professional services, delivery, product management, commercial and contractual elements. Michael’s career began as a developer and evolved to include an array of technical roles, including development management and Head of Delivery. In addition to this, Michael’s commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients meant that he was heavily engaged in multiple solution roles, including business analysis and product management. For the past 10+ years Michael has focused on strategic and operational roles and interacting within CxO executive and customer management teams for a leading insurance software provider.
Prior to engaging with This Partners, Michael had responsibility for the global business unit of a major insurance software provider. His responsibilities included full ownership of the business unit P&L, solution delivery, maximizing customer satisfaction and ultimately, supporting all the customer’s ongoing requirements as they progressed on their transformation journey. Michael and his teams were responsible for numerous highly successful engagements and the delivery of major global customer programmes that enabled customers to accelerate their strategies and exceed their business goals.
Michael’s experience, namely a blend of technical, solution, business and client advisory aspects combined with his extensive team building experience, enables him to bring unique and invaluable benefits to customers. Utilizing this hands-on experience, Michael, as part of the team at This Partners, is perfectly positioned to support major client sourcing and transformation initiatives. This includes the development of exceptional client solutions, the development of pragmatic and effective programme plans, optimizing delivery processes, building high performing teams and ultimately, creating long term commercial and operational benefits.
Key recent projects for Michael include:
- Successful, greenfield multi-phase implementation of a P&C Insurance platform for a brand-new insurance company.
- Life insurance system implementation that consolidated multiple legacy systems in parallel to the change in ownership of the insurance company.
- Strategy development, requirements and data gathering, market engagement, implementation planning and self-sufficiency journey management for a leading Caribbean financial services client.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family. A good day for him is started with a morning run and ended with a good book. Recently, Michael started learning how to play piano and will soon be ready for his first concert.
