Phil is a founding partner of This Partners and brings a deep knowledge of IT and Business Process Outsourcing gained from over 25 years working for Service Provider, Client and Consulting firms, including leading global organisations such as BT, BNP Paribas and Whitbread. The last 13 years have seen Phil work as a recognised outsourcing expert, working for ISG before founding This Partners. His experience during this time includes leading a wealth of large scale assignments for Energy, Financial Services, Retail, Insurance, Manufacturing and Government clients.
When working in client organisations, Phil ran global IT environments and transformed IT service delivery models and IT organisations to meet business needs and, as a consultant, Phil works with clients to help them understand their strategic objectives and how best to achieve these through optimum sourcing solutions.
This client and service provider perspective, coupled with his years of management consultancy experience, means Phil puts himself firmly in his client’s shoes – because he’s been there himself. His deep knowledge and extensive ‘hands on’ experience is matched by an exceptional blend of strategic, commercial and communication skills which he brings to every assignment. Since founding This Partners, Phil has led major engagements for clients that include a global electronics manufacturer and a global information services provider.
Phil loves most sports and Judo was his passion for thirty years. These days he also enjoys quieter pursuits like writing, painting, spending time with his family and going to the cinema. Since hanging up his judogi he tries to keep fit by practising yoga which helps him to remain calm should things get tense at the negotiating table.
